I am glad to say its not my fault! My parents got a not needed new computer because my dad is the king of I want whats new so we now have the old one! Which means until everything is transferred over no pictures from the old computer. I have first day of school shots and disneyland and a few others but I guess I may have to use phone pics because who knows when we will be back to our usual computer. Also traditional keyboards stink! I love my ergo one!
So today I come to blog about products. With the family on the healthy eating plan(Brad down almost 40lbs, me maintaining and Breven gaining 3-4lbs not sure why Breven is up but he needs to go back down my parents have been giving lots of snacks and its not helping! neither are the 100 plus temps keeping us locked inside) so we have been buying produce at costco because its fresher and is lasting longer than the grocery stores produce. That and we up graded the membership and now get 2% back on purchases and 3% on gas. Well that leads to other purchases at Costco as well.
So far we have found a few new favorites. They had a salsa that's medium sweetened with blue agave nectar which is great! We got the kirkland signature shampoo and conditioner and its amazing! No phosphates, no parabans and its gluten free and vegan and great for hair! Protein power bars(good stuff and on coupon this month) and the whey powder in a huge bag! We have also grown to like the kirkland signature lunch meat the ham is a big favorite! We like the turkey burgers. We also had otter pops which are now made with more juice and have less sugar! The kids like the hansen's juice boxes and me I am loving my kirkland tanks(so comfy and not cheap material so they look nice and hold up!)
Some other new things we have tried Breven is loving the kids cliff bars he takes them for his morning snack and they have good flavor and as much sugar as a tiny standard granola bar but much bigger. 45 calorie delightful sara lee bread its so good and even the kids like it. Back to basics naturals granola the only granola I have found with no nuts(Aubree is at a school that banned nuts) its pretty good stuck on a banana which is how I ate it since yogurt is not my BFF (but I have heard that greek yogurt is ok for the lactose intolerant)
Breven now has to take lunch and snacks since he is in school all day now and I was sending him with a bottle of water and he said he was always thirsty and I asked what he did and he said well I drink off the fountains but its gross and the water in the sink tastes funny. So I got him a brita water bottle with a filter. I have to say that thing works! It makes nasty tap water taste better and it keep him drinking off the germ infested water fountains. They are 9.99 each and I had coupons and the refill filters are 7.99 for 2 but you only have to change them every 200 fills which will take a while for him.
Aubree is hooked on the Leap Frog DVD's she is loving letter factory, numbers ahoy and ready for school. She is loving and learning from them. She has taken an interest in letters and sounds and wants to learn to read. I told her 1 step at a time! Speaking of reading Breven is now hooked on a new book series called fly guy its a chapter book that chronicles a fly.
Me I just got my 2nd generation BIC band http://www.bicbands.com and I have to say they rock as did my first but its over a year old and I stretched it out. She has so much selection now so I am going to need more of course. I like that it holds my bangs and I can wear it under my helmet when I ride my bike and to jazzercise.
Ok so that's my current shopping list I hope you find it useful or a spring board for you to check some new things out.
