Yup I tweeked a recipe on the back of the splenda brown sugar package and came up with the most amazing and tasty chocolate chip cookies ever! So I thought I would share the recipe here with my friends and readers.
Ingredients
1c all purpose flour
1c. Whole wheat flour(you can use all white flour or all wheat if you use all wheat they tend to get dry)
1tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter
1/2c margarine (you can use all margarine but I like the browning butter has so using half the amount cuts calories)
1c. Splenda brown sugar blend (this product is great half splenda half regular half the calories and all the taste and moisture)
2 Large eggs
1tbsp vanilla
2 c chocolate chips(I love dark chocolate chips its tasty and adds antioxidants and all the good stuff about chocolate)
Pre-heat the oven to 375 and line your cookie sheets with parchment paper(I used to think this was a waste man was I wrong parchment paper makes it so much easier!)
Combine flours. baking powder, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside
Mix butters, splenda, eggs and vanilla with a mixer. Then slowly add in the flour mixture then last the chocolate chips(I like to mix these in by hand)
Drop dough on to cookie sheets. Now I love big cookies so I use an ice cream scoop and space them apart so they don't stick.
Bake 11-15mins depending on cookie size and your oven mine is super hot and consistent so its only 11mins.
There you have it folks a tasty not so guilty pleasure that even the kids and the hubby will eat(and I know my family is more than half way done with one batch and it has not even been 24hrs yet)
