Ok so call me a slacker I have totally fallen off the blog wagon! Well with some new changes going on here and my kids getting bigger even faster I think blogging may be making a come back! So let the updates begin!
Brad- Well Brad has decided to return to school and since CBU closed the Beaumont campus he had to find another school that would take his credits and help him to finish. Enter University of Redlands. After a lot of work with counselors and some creative money juggling he enrolled and will be in school every Tuesday night for 2 years. (hence more blogging time since the kids go to bed at 8 and he doesn't get home until 10:30pm)
He also continues to ride his bike and got a trainer(a bike trainer you put your bike on it and it holds it in and you can ride year round) to work with while the weather is not so cooperative. Even though its 80 degrees riding a bike in the wind it way harder than you think! He gained the dreaded 5lbs of Christmas and is back on track to taking that off! If he doesn't his new wardrobe may not fit anymore!
Breven- Well Breven finally lost another tooth! he lost his first front tooth just before Christmas with a little help from the dentist that root was so high up she had to help us pull it. Breven also has experienced his first cavities and we are not happy! It was between his teeth so something a brush and floss could miss so it was not his fault!
He is working hard in school and had a great report card and conference. He is an amazing reader and with the exception of penmanship a good writer. His math still needs a little work he seems to have inherited my hatred and horrible issues with math!
He no longer has a little boy room and got a full room makeover(which I will post soon) we have changed a few of his chores and how his allowance is handled and things are going well for him. We are waiting for swim season with big anticipation. This year because his birthday is mid season he gets to swim 6 and under 1 more year placing him as one of the biggest and oldest kids in the division which is a big advantage for him.
Aubree- Is continuing in preschool and is doing great! She is beginning to recognize her letters and some numbers since we practice at home, she loves playing and has become better at relationships with other kids. She also has become good at coloring! She is almost in the lines which is pretty good for 3 if you ask me!
We have stepped her up here at home and she now has a few small jobs and is taking responsibility for her self more and more and is way too independent at times for her own good!
Charlee- Me well lets see..... I took over as class rep for Aubree's class and I now have a lot more responsibility in her class along with no maintenance days and less working in class days but I have a lot more work outside of class. Helping to coordinate schedules, doing emails and just a lot of busy work.
I have hardly had a chance to ride my bike but once we get a thing for my tires I can ride more in order to catch up to Brad. I am still going to Jazzercise 3-4 times a week and I have now successfully maintained my weight for 1 year(now just to shave off that stupid belly mess I would be happy)
I have been trying to squeeze in some crafting time and some hubby time in my schedule but its not going to be easy with Brad back in school! I am happy for him and a little stressed about me! The kids hate it when he is gone and throwing the routine off is not going to be easy. Plus keeping the kids wrangled so he can study is not an easy task either. And to be 100% honest I am jealous! It's not fair I always wanted to finish school but was always told no we don't have the money and well when Brad wants to do it the money magically shows up. He doesn't even really want to do it but he has to in order to be promoted and I would give my right leg to be able to go to school and finish my degree (yes I have 2 AA's but to me that's not good enough) Also I worry about if there comes a day when Brad can't work what am I going to do? How will I support the 4 of us or if the worst happens the 3 of us? I just feel like I will never be comfortable in that until I have something to protect me.
Well that's about it. I will have posts about Christmas, room make overs, grown kids and all sorts of fun with pictures! (I finally got a camera)
